Discovery EP

Harry Harrison Tempo, tone, vocals; this outing has everything I would expect of a top-tier Stoner outfit. There is essence of Grunge in there as well. Being a fan of 90ise rock, this just make the album even more tasty. There is the Shoe-Gazer / Prog meandering riffage that seals the deal for me. They even have the feel a the almighty “Steak”. You can see that this is the spring-board for the sonic journey that leads to “Echo Therapy”. Nice stuff. Favorite track: Flat Earth.

wilderness10angel You are very welcome, Dave. Discovery E.P. is the perfect compliment to the new Plaindrifter track release. The ride of desert fuzz and stoner grooves starts here! Can't wait to hear more from the band. Favorite track: Flat Earth.

Flat Earth 08:09
Do we all, have the same horizon About the things, we can perceive Whose perspective, is wrong or right then when somber times cloud up our minds who knows where the truth lies Of all the fucking theories I don’t know which one to believe Cause I don’t know what to see, Don’t know what I want to be If you’re not completely blind yet Do not trust your tarnished gaze For the false prophet‘s behind it all When somber times Cloud up our minds Who knows where the truth lies Of all the fucking theories I don’t know which one to believe Cause I don’t know what to see, Don’t know what I want to be Of all the fucking theories I don’t know which one to believe If it’s all lies what they call preach Tell me whose advice to heed Of all the fucking theories I don’t know which one to believe Cause I don’t know what to see, Dont know what I want to be

Discovery 08:37
The coundown to ignition Is ticking and we are good to go Less then one minute Till take-off says ground control Then our vision Is going to reach its goal On this space mission We want to make the universe come whole We’re drifting through space and time Though no one knows if it’s worth the prize It seems to be the only way To get this done and all things straight So we must reach our final goal To make the universe come whole Look up! Skywards! To he stars above your head There are millions of planets To explore before you’re dead You’re mind, it wanders Far beyond the veil of doubts Our crew is on a journey Endless miles above the clouds
3.
Monkey King 06:28
Born to rule born to rise The purpose of my life Born to fool born to lie The purpose of my life I am the king of the mountain Release me from this jail Of what I’ve done I am not proud Take my word for what It’s worth I‘m seeking a way out Release me from this jail Of what I’ve done I am not proud Take my word for what It’s worth I got to find a way out Hear his torturing remorse His mind‘s now purged from sin Watch him lead the blind On their righteous way of light
4.
Tide 06:12
Eternal war between two gods unseen Their force may end all life and everything All of mankind prays for neither side to win Endless war waged by the gods Or the tides will rise All shallows turn to depths Drown inside your bastion of calm All light absorbed into the maelstrom Down the abyss the world will fall

about

Plaindrifter Gelsenkirchen, Germany

2017 Marcel, Nils and Andre decide to follow their love for heavy riffs and found PLAINDRIFTER as a passion project. They venture into uncharted, psychodelic territory, under the heavy influence of scene giants like Truckfighters or Elder. The outlines of reality are blurred by their uncompromising songwriting and rearranged into vast, immersive landscapes waiting to be explored. ... more
